I am interested to see what people think to be the best chess opening or the one which suits them the most.

So please could people just leave comments with the opening name which they either think is the best overall or suits them the most!

It will be interesting to see which opening wins... let the battles begin! 

Black - Sicilian

White - Ruy Lopez

But latlely I have been enjoying screwing around with King's Indian Attack for White.

White: 1.d4

Black: Sicilian dragon, KID 

White - King's Gambit

Black - Dutch Defense

Nice choices! What do you play against 1. e4?

Alekhine Defense and Modern Defense

I like dutchdefense's choices; kings gambit and dutch defense.

However, I rely heavily upon both the queen's gambit with 3. Nc3 if accepted, and Anderssen's Opening (1. a3).

White: queens gambit. I have some really nice successes with that one.

 As black, I usually play sicilian. But I tend to lose... It seems that after 5 or 6 moves, I always screw up. So I keep on studying that one.

Right now, I mostly play the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit as white, the Englund Gambit against 1. d4 and the French against 1. e4. I know, the French seems like a weird choice in their with the unsound gambits, but I do well with it.

1. Nf3 as white then Reti or King's Indian Attack according to how I am feeling and what my opponent plays.

1. ... g6 as black no matter what white plays. Well, maybe not against 1. b3 or 1. b4.
