Practice, practice, practice, and more practice. At some point though, you have to read some books - you will eventually reach a point where you won't significantly improve your skill anymore without studying.

or be a real chess player??

Decades of study, hard work, and practice.

where can i get the books?

lanceuppercut_239

You can order them online: http://www.chess.com/equipment/chess+books

Look in your local bookstores first, though. Most bookstores carry at least a few chess books. See if you find one that looks interesting to you!

After you have read a significant number of books (just the basics), you are ready to develop your own gameplay. :)

Good luck.

Study your games! when u win study your games to see what ur opponent could have done better as well as u. Study your draws to see how u could have improved on the result. When u lose study over it again and again to find ways to improve ur game and even ask ur opponents to go over it with u.

Good books i like particulary biginner to intermidiate level is "Play Winning Chess Series' By:- Yasser Seirawan. You will find his books  and others like it at www.everymanchess.com....Cool

hondoham

chessmaster has tutorials that will give you lots of different opening, strategy, tactics, endgame training.

chess.com tactics trainer will get you keyed into spotting tragic flaws quickly

i don't have good advice for taking your game past that though.... someelse may know a good Positional Play reference

Seriosity

how did pinnochio turn into a real boy?

kidding of course.

I would propose that, through intense and extensive methods of studying and practice, one could possibly achieve this "master" level. It's a good thing it'll at least make you that much better... regardless.

zlhflans

i TRY not to repeat mistakes. and watch how i lose

Defacto
