Yeah, it's officially confirmed that he crossed 2800 in the live rating list with a victory in the ECCC against GM Victor Mikhalevski yesterday.

no he hasn't crossed it he is 2799

But the events page shows a 3.5 rating gain from 2797.

Never mind he does it 2 days later 🥳

Rating inflation seems to get out of hand fast.

Congrats to Arjun, of course, but 4 players above 2800 at the same time is just bizarre.

FIDE has been fighting against rating deflation, which has been happening for the last decade. Four 2800s is normal, that pool of players is bigger and the level keeps increasing
