if you are a sports writer and you gonna make a story about no competition,can you use the word strategy in your story even though your story has no competion.for me you cannot use it because the word strategy can use only if the story has competion.so what do you think guys can you use it or not?

Strategy with no competition? Hmmm...

Strategy is about positioning against an actual opponent, or a perceived threat.

So perhaps in the second case - perceived threat, there's no competition yet.

mainstreet,i think my second example to you is the word escape plan,so escape plan has no competition right?, so that means you can use the word plan in the sentence or your story if you are a writer instead of the word strategy.how about the word escape strategy, i think their is no such word like this.so that means you can use the word strategy in the sentence if thier is only a competition.right? what do you think hmmmm....?
