Definitely Jose Raul Capablanca. The man thought chess was easy, and considering how long he was unbeaten, how great another man on this list thought he was at chess (Lasker), and the strength of his play is why he is my choice. It boggles my mind that one playing chess at that level of play would think it would be simple and easy to play that well....
