1) To begin the match, you only have a King and you're presented 3 times with a random choice between two relatively "equal" sets of material E.g. Two Rooks OR a Queen 3 Pawns+Bishop OR 2 Knights 5 Pawns OR 1 Pawn+Rook etc
The set you don't choose goes to the other person and vice versa.
2) After 3 rounds of choices, the players will have all their pieces. They have 1 minute to set them up anyway they like, limited to the first 3 rows on their own side. The player cannot see what pieces the other player has or how they're setting them up during this time. Though the player will know some of the pieces the opponent has based on the pieces they rejected during the draft.
3) Once the timer runs out the whole board is revealed and the game starts like a normal chess match.
