Imbalanced Chess: what are the odds that 100 elo win against Magnus Carlsen?
I was gonna say take a bucket loader to the beach, scoop up half a cubic yard of sand , count the grains and put that number before the colon. But then I saw the board setup, so......... Surely far, far better than the odds that a chimp strolling up to a typewriter would poke only the H key and then the 5 key. If the kid's first move is dead random, it's 28:1 against him playing the mate in one. But to have a rating at all, he knows the moves and the objective, right? Don't know what a 100elo is like but if he's focused he *should* see it. As a compromise I'll give him 2:1
Stop judging people by their chess.com Elo. Elo is bizarrely distorted here.
Nope.
Also, to answer the original question, I'd say about 50% winning chance for the 100 elo, give or take 5%.

that's not true, they're literally using the website

this seems to be a fair answer. idk how you maked a 100elo focused, probably more just able to observe than anything. fair though

I think it's about 10%. The 100 would probably just give a random check, and not even know it's checkmate

No offense, but you say that ELO is bizarrely distorted, but you are only of 358 rating. So prove that you deserve a higher or lower rating by showing your rating on another platform.

nah, I feel like it's higher. It's known that most beginners like to play rather aggressive, but I agree that they probably won't know it's checkmate. But some may bring the queen out to the square other than h5.
The room was full of people arguing about en passant
Oh lol
En passant is tempting lol
