The real chess 2: the continuation of the chess story

At the end of every chess game, the king gets captured. So what if,in a continuation of the story , an army tries to save its king? The rules: white starts with a Mann instead of a king, and has to go to blacks back row to rescue the king. If a white piece is carrying the king, he moves like a Mann. Getting the king back to whites back row wins. Blacks job is to capture all whites pieces. If black captures the king carrier, then the white king goes back to the back row. If blacks king is captured, then white only has to go to the sixth row to pick up the king.

This is such an interesting concept! I love the idea of continuing the story of chess with a rescue mission for the king. Turning the "Mann" into a piece that plays a dual role adds a whole new dynamic.

I do have a few questions to clarify the rules:
1. How does the Mann move when carrying the king? Is it limited to the same movement as the king, or can it still move like a Mann?
2. Is the king "rescued" as soon as it's carried back to the white back row, or do you need to checkmate the opponent to win?
3. What happens if the black side captures all white pieces except for the Mann?

This could be a fun twist for a chess variant. Maybe someone will develop this into a playable version online! Would love to hear if you have other creative ideas for expanding the game.

1. Any piece that carries the king moves like a Mann . Also any piece can capture the Mann. The Mann is not special in any way.2. Yes the only way for white to win is to get the king to the 1st row. However if the black king is checkmated and captured, you can pick up the king from the sixth row, instead of the eighth. 3. The Mann is just a piece that moves like a king. No check or checkmate rules for the Mann. But check applies to the black king.
