chess 960

how do you fell about chess 960?

How do I fell? I guess I trip first and lose my balance. And if that happens to be over a game chess960, that's too bad for whoever's playing.

I have not heard of this game. Is it a different version of chess?

I have a love/hate relationship with Fischer Random (aka Chess 960): I love the freedom to play my own opening, but I hate the openings I end up playing. : )

Note that you have the set up rules wrong. You mix up the back rank pieces with two restrictions:

• The bishops must be on different colors
• The king must be between the rooks

Castling puts you in the same position you would have been in when normally castling. Complete rules are in the first post of this forum.
