Is anyone up for a game? I’m not very good but I’d like to try infinite chess out.

Someone sent me a message (@gamebooker14) and said he might want to play. Let me confirm if he will play. If not I'll be happy to play. Either way, I can mod the game (post board updates).

I'll be travelling the next few days, so please wait a little in case I can't get-online. In any case, I'll try to start the game by Monday (January 13).

I would like to play a game just letting you know and can start whenever. sorry for the late response.

antisunechess

When anyone is available I would like a game

antisunechess

In finite terms, are those terms infinite

vickalan

I plan to start a game (mod) between ChessNerd1836 and gamebooker14.

I'm also supposed to start gyrados vs. Tug for a prize game.

I'm travelling now, but will try to get both started within 2-3 days.

Sorry for the delays. Does anyone wanna play against antisunechess? If nobody maybe I will play.

I should be back home on Wed, when my schedule gets normal again.happy.png

antisunechess

No hurry. Those are daily games though, right?

antisunechess

Yes it's a variant where you have to play chess like me. Badly that is

antisunechess

Wow, I never thought a NM could be that good in this variant!

These games are slow-play, with time control of 3 days per move (max). You can see the specific rules for play by correspondence (here). Some games have gone on for weeks or even months. One game took more than six months. If interested you can see it (here).

gamebooker

thank you I did not know the time control rules for the games.

I started a thread for gamebooker14 vs. ChessNerd1836. Unfortunately I suddenly ran into some problems with chess.com, and I can't post pictures (which includes the boards). I'll be back tomorrow to see what's going on. Sorry about it.

gamebooker

ok thanks for the update

Mr_Check58

I'd like to try that, but how, if it's not available here on the website?

Mr_Check58

For now I can only play it with AI in chess remix, where I re-created it as close to the diagram from wiki as I could,

The way we play most of these game is by manually updating the graphics (cut and paste). So it's slow play (three days allowed per move).

In another thread you mentioned "I added one special win square for each side (the win square of white is behind the black king)".

What is a win square? I might like to try this, but we'll have to start later. I'm already in a few games, so I'd rather wait till I finish one.

Mr_Check58

I wonder what's the point of these 2 hawks surrounded by pawns so far on the outskirts?

Ilampozhil25

hawks are different and unique and fun and help in flank attacks and being attacked by flank attacks and more pawns in endgame (have never played this variant)

Ilampozhil25

also they arent "so far in the outskirts" they are 3 queen moves away from being forked with the king and opening strategy is to bring them in
