If you appreciate Madame Secretary, you'll really get a kick out of Season 5 Episode 6 (Titled: Eyjafjallaökull) (free on Netflix). Chess throughout, both direct and metaphorically. Plot includes a lady GM rated over 2700, chess cheating allegations, and many chess references (i.e. "It's hard to play like Nakamura.")
I am watching it and find it totally depressing to be plunged back into a time when the US government cared about refugees. Is this an alternate reality show?
There are nice chess-related parts of the story but I would skip the first 20 minutes.
