Closing my kids accounts

Sort:
spaughbradley

Both my kids have their accounts closed and we don't have an explaination from chess.com

Both closed for abuse.  My daughter is 7 and doesnt even use the account that was closed.  She has chess kid that she uses.  She can't type or read and write, no way she abused anyone.

My son is 10, also closed for abuse the same day his premium account expired.  He says he was never abusive.

Can anyone help us get the accounts open.  My son was really getting into chess then his account was suddently shutdown and no email from chess.com saying what the reason was.

Best to contact support

We have tried all we get is the AI bot. My son is waiting to hear back but it seems chess.com doesn't have enough support for this stuff.

The bot can create a ticket. Make sure you explicitly state your quest and after it gives the basic answers try something like contact an agent

1, off topic comment but your daughter is 7 and doesn't know how to type, read or write?

spaughbradley

She knows how to read but not great. And can't type much. She is in 1st grade. Thry start typing in 2nd grade. My son who is 10 can type 70 words per minute

Every kid is different. She may have a skill that is mutually exclusive with typing. For example, as I improve with guitar, my typing gets worse. In any case, I don't think I started reading until 1st or second grade. The fact both your kids are chess players at such a young age is great.

Agreed

Possibly detecting multiple accounts from the same IP address. Mistaking your two kids for the same person. Everyone should use a VPN at this point.

This is the very reason we are heading for real life dictatorship all around the places, when people get used to such abuses from authorities online.

On one hand, they decide that if you offend other members you deserve a sanction, such as a mute or a ban, on the other hand, they count the frustration and the pain you feel for an unexplained, and maybe undeserved sanction, for nothing.

First you're thrown in jail, and out of the pit, you're supposed to seek for a way to defend yourself, since no interview happened, and no "lawyer by default" was ever proposed to the accused one. Who is guilty since accused.

Once used to that way of being treated online, people will maybe accept to be treated the same in real life, leaving all the punishements to the crowd, and the good life for the happy few. This seems to be the plan.

In many counries if not in all of them, your rights are severely reduced as soon as you're "not a citizen" of the said country. You'd be (bitterly) surprised.

And well, what are we, we members of chess.com? Citizens? Ah, no, "visitors", that's what we are. Otherwise, one may also count us folks as the "commoners", deprived of any rights, legitimacy or anything such, facing them mysterious and almighty aristocrats, the staff members of chess.com, and their implacable goons, the bots. "We do what we want because we can" is their moto.

Internet became the place where to bypass ideas, oh, such foolish ideas, such as equality in rights, and all these modern and so annoying features introduced into human life within the few past centuries.

Thank you Internet! The dear Middle Age is back! and we Lords and Ladies can rule again as should, over the half-animals that them dirty commoners are! Yay!

@Kaeldorn those are good points. I never thought of it like that. It can be horrible. I got banned unfairly from a forum not too long ago. It was extremely frustrating and unfair. The admin didn't give a crap and even admitted I broke no rules of the forum but some people there just didn't like me and therefore I had to be banned. Can you believe that!?

EndgameEnthusiast2357

I've gotten muted 3-4 times by bots (and once or twice by staff in the past for like a day but those were fair), for even sending certain words in a PM to a friend. As well as for quoting a post with a forbidden word in it (yet the post itself somehow made it through). Still not nearly as bad as what youtube does.

Not only do they shadowban you by making you think your comment went through but is gone when you refresh, but they'll literally slow down and glitch up your text box making it impossible to type a comment, or extremely frustrating enough that you give up. People need to start launching the biggest lawsuits known to man against this rabid, tyrannical, draconian internet censorship.

Kaldorn also doesn't like people who disagree with him tho he acts like a bit of a dictator himself whenever he feels like people aren't "honest" maybe he's right maybe he isn't but don't take his time seriously

It's mostly the bots they can't really tell when a person is being cruel or not unfortunately chess.com isn't that bad as long as you don't curse we have make punishments for billionaires for it to stop but looks like we are giving tax cuts instead sad.png it won't even matter if we sue them unless it's put into law

BigChessplayer665

Well there are places like twitter so it isn't always bots sad.png

Maybe a glitch? Contacting support is pretty reliable

Someone is supposed to get back to my son in 72hrs or less. Hopefully they get back to him. He is pretty upset his account is closed. My daughter doesn't care but she never used her account much.

i had written a comment way longer than this but cc just deleted it before even posting due to itbeing 'abusive'

so

i have had my account closed for abuse

it was due to me and my family members same ip address?!

i have cleared this 5 times with the staff but still they r troubling me

as soon as my daily gmes are over im ginna go inactive or whatever

the staff doesnt even appear to read mymessages

just writing repeatedly that i have an alt

.

i think ur children's accounts were banned for the same reason

so i think it is bestfor u to open anothe raccount as if u do manage to get them reopened staff will keep troublng u
