disconnected for 1 second apparently......

im streaming darts on my phone and was playing a game on my laptop, made my move saw my disconnection going into the red for a moment and when my connection fixed itself again it had made me abandon the game while im staring at the screen i thought my opponent left but noooo
chess.com what a useless client i sometimes get opponents who disconnect litterally for 5minutes (i assume to fill in the chess position into engine) and blow my mind with killer moves yet i disconnect 1 second and abandon

You would have been disconnected for longer than 1 second to have the game counted as lost.

It appears likely you got disconnected on your opponents turn and the abandonment happen after their move was completed. Currently the disconnect time can start when it's not your turn. My understanding is that behavior is going to change at some point.

it was perhaps 10seconds maximum i never left the page refreshed what so ever
just so boring to play chess and lose points this way my opponents can disconnect but if it happens to me sure instantly lose points story of my life

It does look like there may be something else going on. Even had you disconnected right after your last move, it's around 30 seconds, much less than what it should be for a 15|10 game.

I have asked staff to look at the game.
