Giving opponent more time

Sort:

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm in a rather relaxed game with a friend of mine who recently went to Copenhagen on vacation. She's been unable to access the site there. Is there a way for me to give her more time? She'd put vacation mode on herself, but as I said she can't get on the site.

In your settings you can disable the "automatic win by time", then you need to manually claim the win if you want.

You can't add time to a Daily game. You can turn off the auto-claim on time option, where casual games won't time out until 60 days after no move has been made, though I'm not sure if the includes or excludes vacation time.

9 years ago I hated chess, I didn't imagine that I would play it, I didn't imagine that I would love it and I didn't know about the existence of the wonderful site chess.com.

For what it’s worth, this setting is not in the app…you have to go to chess.com in your browser.

This old thread just helped me with this very issue!
