Alright, I've been muted before, but many of the reasons weren't my fault. I'm not going into that right now.

Apparently, I've been 'trash talking' during games. I turn off the setting to chat in live games! Why would I be doing that? Even after games, I send a good game trophy/award or say GG in messages. I don't understand how the system found this, or if there is some person who wants me to get banned from cc.

Chesscom said this:

We have received reports of verbal harassment or abuse from several of your recent opponents.

Footnote: Not being on topic here, but a couple months ago I also received a sandbagging strike. I tried contacting support but they didn't remove the strike.

What happens now?

I got the same thing too, the other day.

It specifically mentions abuse in chat during games. It specifically states that some of my opponents complained but I have played only bots for months. Perhaps, if this accusation is incorrect, it isn't us that's being abusive. It could be ......

The answer should be obvious. Oh no, surely not?

I don't think Gabs would verbally abuse someone, athough I was rather shocked when she called me a dreary, dumb, dopey, dim-witted, dodo.

That's right, it's unfair on dodos and I never saw any around recently, to defend themselves.

I'm pretty sure that notification is used for both chat reports and other content reports.

You didn't do anything wrong, the radical and one-sided censorship on this site is why I let my Gold membership expire.

Then it puts chess.com in the wrong since they are lying to us, aren't they?

Getting muted once might not be your fault, but more than once definitely is your fault. Just play chess and stop looking to cause trouble.

There are loads of instances where normal words in English English are somewhat rude in Americanese and since they don't give a list of banned words, there's no fault attached. Just Chess.com being annoying, happy.png

My wife tells me that two years ago, you couldn't write "I'm standing at the bottom of the stairs" on MSN. There's a banned word somewhere in there but I'm not sure which. Standing, maybe. Now, that is an instance of an online site being abusive.

BoardMonkey

Is this the department of abuse?

Maybe that's true if non-trolls don't like fairness, honesty and transparency but prefer bullying, dishonesty and manipulation. Then you would be making a very fair comment.
