I agree with Frank713. It seems the trolls, and those players who are against Eric's appeal (and those who agree with him), have simply snubbed him and all who are for improving the Chess.com Forum. They have taken a stance to show all of us in favor of improving the Forum that they are not only disagreeing with us, but are doing their best to sabotage and ruin any chance for helping to improve the Forum. And they are laughing at us as they do their work. They like it as it is because they have made the Forum their playground and really enjoy what they are doing -- that has nothing to do with chess. Eric should "read the riot act" to them and go ahead unilaterally with all the power he has as owner of Chess.com and put "some teeth" into the rules. Why not do it and simply say: This is the way it's going to be for the sake of the Forum and do it. Otherwise the Trolls and their ilk will simply thumb their noses at all of us again and again and again, all of us who want a change for the good of Chess.com and for the love of the game of chess.

Well said...
right now, we should worry about getting rid of the spammer who is posting here about escorting agency almost every day. right now, this post can be seen
I've taken note of the telephone numbers...
don't worry...
i'll call them and have a word
well, as far as i remember, a usernamed as ubik (i guess) has called on that number ;)
U think we have problems?! ... FB and Twitter have had it worse!
everyone should be allowed to moderate the thread they create
U already have that prof... by blocking people... its like sending them to a sin bin for a week or two... just like muting :)
where is the muting?
Only staff have that button
BUT...we all have blocking
The fact that they already posted the suggestion, and put there name to it, leads me to believe they'd be ok with you adding it.

Please, no photo-spamming in the main forums. Feel free to post all the images you want in the Off-Topic Forum.
Going to another topic:
I suggest that you give us an option to rate a video. Be able to do a search on the highest rated videos. I think this would help encourage diamond membership because there are so many videos and it would help us to sample from the best.
This is a reminder that unrelated and/or excessive image/video posting is considered spamming and isn't allowed in the main forums. Hopefully everyone will cooperate. Images that appear to be spam will be removed as they are noticed with a note of explanation. If the poster ignores the note and continues posting, he/she will be warned privately. If the private warning is ignored, the poster will be temporarily muted (not allowed to post anywhere, even in messages) according to policy.
This policy is in force to help ensure everyone's the enjoyment of the forums.
Image/video posting that support the thread's topic are allowed. Image/video posting in the Off-Topic threads aren't monitored or moderated. Feel free to post any images or videos that don't violate the policies expressed in the original post of this thread.
