Opponent ends chat with "hail hitler" - how can chat be saved?

Sort:
Solerano

I notice that many people don´t accept a chat any more and I don´t blame them. Many times people start with a chat it is kind of rude or bullying.

What could encourage a better communication culture? More politeness? A rating system for chats?

Sometimes I think it would be better to be able to exclude or include some countries for the selection process for an opponent. In Germany a "hail hitler" would at least be prosecuted.

Just don’t accept chat if you’re playing a randomly paired match. If it’s your friend, it should automatically accept chat by memory but you can still decline chat requests.

Yes I can but I think it is a pity that people with a bad attitude would force me not to communicate nicely with others.

.. by the Grammar Police at least.

Anyways, don't make accusations on the forum. Instead, just report the guy.

Using nazi paroles is a public offence that is actually prosecuted, while other insults are not. You may find that funny but it is not.

Yeah I decided to permanently disable chat a while back for this reason. It’s a shame bc I met some genuinely nice and awesome people through chat but the amount of people that just spam nonsense like this to throw you off is off the rails.

Just block the chat. What more is there to discuss.

As you can see I would like to talk about improving communication culture. Just blocking doesn´t change anything.

You’re just an attention seeker... and a provocateur (your pfp for example...) and considering you cleared the username of whoever wrote 'hail Hitler,' it might’ve been you. If I were a mod, I’d lock this thread and mute you for at least a month for provocation and attention-seeking

I told you to report the guy. Making a forum topic does nothing. No moderator reads the forum regularly (unfortunately).

If you were a mod you wouldn´t accuse someone indirectly of lying and just downplay such incidences.

In Germany, quite a lot of opinions are being prosecuted, to be honest...

Freedom of speech -- one can say whatever he wants and believe in whatever he wants. This includes 'hail Hitler' too. As long as it doesn’t directly harm anyone, people can do whatever they want
