I have exactly the same issue and it started about a week ago. It is almost not possible to play anymore. Loosing bullets because of that.

Check and see if there's an update for Chrome. If you have an ad blocker, disabling that or white listing the site might help

For those with the issue running an ad blocker, what one(s) are being used?

Well, I don't play games, so I don't know if I'd be getting the "Page unresponsive" messages. The only problem I've had so far is just the "Social" icon being missing, and as you know, I decided not to whitelist it. But I did find out what's interfering with it - Adblock Plus, ver 3.12. Maybe that info will help you a little, idk.

Oh, maybe the browser doesn't matter, but I'm using Vivaldi 5.2.2623.34 on Linux.

If you do a hard refresh, it should solve this issue. There was a problem with some of the code that stopped working when Chrome updated to a new version. It should be addressed now if you hard refresh! Very sorry!

Hi @erik !
'Hard' refresh?  What's a 'soft' refresh?
I never heard either term before.
I've seen 'refresh' lots of times - but not 'hard refresh'.

Soft refresh is just hitting refresh on the browser or F5 on Windows. A hard refresh is holding down shift while you do either, forcing the cached files to reload.

Interesting.  I never heard of that Shift with refresh button before.
I wonder what percentage of computer users (or chess.com members) have heard of such a thing.

Well, at least you still get banned for saying [removed -- MS] And they disabled the russian flag. That is what is really important here.
