Question: How do I make chess bots play each other?

Other than downloading a chess bot, is there a way to make, say martin and mittens, play each other?

You would have to use separate browser windows.

Could you explain more on what I would specifically do?

Open the bots page in one browser and the bots page in another. Choose the bots and you'll have to make moves for both bots on each board.

What if they make different moves

In one browser you play against one bot, in the other a different bot as the opposite color. You are just making the moves on the alternate boards, so unless you make the wrong move, that will work wink.png

ye so u mean like 3 -2 web pages for that?

Go60go

another option is to use analysis and after each move you can change the bot and swap the side you play to force the new bot to be the one to make the move. Functionally that makes it so one bot plays one side, and the other bot you choose the other.

I'm not sure if this ends up faster if you use two different bots. However, if you ever want a bot to play itself ever, this is by far to accomplish that.
