The Chess Community Needs YOU! - Moderator Application

The way I understand it is that chess.com mods (blue pawn icon) do not have a "salary" as they are not paid financially by chess.com; it is more like a volunteer position to help run the community. They might be "compensated" by something like a diamond membership, but I'm pretty sure there is no "pay" (guess it wouldn't do much for me currently as I already have a diamond membership, but I'd still like to help out). 

Conversely, the chess.com staff (green pawn icon) are the only ones paid with a "salary" by chess.com; I'd be open to being a chess.com staff member as well, but this thread is specifically asking for chess.com mods (blue pawn icon).

Just to put things into perspective here the moderator team are hand selected after a series of stages of applications and checks. They then go through a video interview process and receive initial training and on going training once selected. 

We empower our moderators and in turn our moderators empower our community. We do strive to give our best to the currently 93 million members here!

A few of you have commented about wanting to apply, but have not applied . Get those applications in!

There was no question of chess playing ability in this topic but if it makes you feel better why not also tell me you're capable of child bearing and I'm not?  But moderating forums would require understanding what is written in them, no? How is that an insult?

Yes, there are definitely mod(s) from Australia. Not sure personally re NZ. I've noticed quite a few moderator accounts use the 'International' flag so it might not always be obvious where each user is from.

@i_traing_secretly: let me play with him. We are in the same rating man vs man. His clue is all of us here play the very same openings but in different levels. We have a player here who is 2500 if he wants.  Calling dyslexics stupid but cannot win on chess in each of us. Lol.

We have 20 secret players here. From weak to strong. All of us cannot read properly. Do you have a problem?
