I take it the shocking move is the Rook's? It's not so shocking. Still you need a lot of forsight to make that move. The more I study, the more impressed I am with how many sacrifices there are. I'm always too chicken to use a sacrifice because I am not seeing far enough into the future to know I can overcome the material. I suppose a lot of players at my level probably think that way.

from the start position, black can win in one of several ways....
Ne2 looks fine
Nd2, I believe you meant.
1...Nd2 2.Nd4 c2 3.Re7+ Kc8 4.Ne2
It works, but the text is simple, straightforward and effective. It's best to cut any counterplay chances.
