SPBlackdo, you should learn the Rook mate. It shouldn't take you 43 moves to mate from move 65. You should be able to do it in 10-15.

grin.png I have learned the rook mate but I forgot to control the king! So I waste time to control.

woah you're checkmate has gone for way too long, shouldn't it be a max of 20, or so moves??

This is not the most beautiful checkmate ever but what I like about it is that I knew lifting my rook would leave me with two options: to give a check or bring the rook back. Failing to do either of those would have resulted in my opponent having a mate in 2.

NoHaxJustLuck

this is a variation of one of my games (transposes to a winning ending)

(this isnt a checkmate, but there are lots of variations)

ThrillerFan

Maybe not my best "ever", but a nasty checkmate (not 100% forced, but I was winning material at minimum) after a Rook sac starting on move 31!

My fastest checkmate (luckiest win):

The rook checkmate isn't too difficult to learn. You should master it, because if you take over 50 moves, your opponent can claim a draw.

I played this game on Lichess 10 min rapid...I enjoy this checkmate because it shows the power of the bishop pair when they are very strong.

About 1500 vs 1500. Poor guy.

this is my favourite so far

I pulled a Scholar's Mate on my friend (irl). I don't remember the exact moves, but here's basically what happened. (I was White)

My absolute finest moment. I think its a good example of how badly it might go, if you don't fight for the centre and let your opponent coordinate his pieces too easily.

Awesome, Wow
Please note that this game took place after the previous one.

I’ve done that one in blitz games a couple times and once in a game I should have lost by all accounts.  You are right about that feeling good and feeling bad at the same time
