K+BN v k is Hard to mate. KQ v kr is easier. Gradually force the k into the edge of the board. Checkmate the k or swindle the r.

Yes, queen against rook always wins. There are a few exceptions due to stalemate, but generally the queen wins
I agree with chess vibes. Q vs R is harder, but it is far from the most difficult. 2N vs P, RB vs R and lots of RP vs R are more difficult. Or a position like this one (R vs B with blocked pawns on the a-file)
