Mostly by learning basic checkmates and basic common endgames called "theoretical endgames"

King + Queen checkmate, King + Rook checkmate and King + pawn vs King checkmate are probably the three most important of these. Here is how to win the pawn endgame if you aren't familiar with the technique already:

lol I currently make YouTube videos on chess.com, but I stopped live streaming about a year and a half ago for several reasons; mostly just because I like YouTube videos better in that anyone can watch at their own time and don't have to worry about missing a live stream due to time zones.

Hello,

I have been working through the book 1000 Checkmate Combinations by Victor Kenkin. I hope to implement it & to see improvement soon.

I am a big fan of Ruben Fines Basic Chess Endings. it is a technical type manual but it provides a well rounded knowledge of multiple Endings with out being so large that it can be overwhelming.

you can read it straight through while playing out the positions with board and peices. Or just skip around playing individual positions so as not to "burn out".

What i like about the book is that it gets straight to the point and presents the most common types of Endings that you will encounter in actual play. learn the principles then apply them. I know, easier said than done.

What about 2 Bishops checkmate or B+N checkmate? Both of these come up less, but learning these checkmates still help you learn piece coordination well and also gives a confidence boost that you don't shy away from these endgames.

looking at your profile your games are decided in the opening or middlegame so studying ending other then mating with a queen or rook is pointless bc you woint use it then youll forget it. If you wanna learn anyway look at rulke of square, opposition, and the basic rook pawn endings: lucena, philidor, and vancura dont bother with corresponding or mined squares, triangulation study tactics
