looks like it black might be able to win after moving king around and playing b4!

b4 looks winning bc of pawn on d4 would get weak or pawn on a3 would be weaken and rook is stuck guarding pawn over there also the fact you could march another b pawn down on him

I tried to play the position as white against a newbie and white won.  Then we reset the same position, we switched sides, as black I won.  Now that's a draw Smile

Let us know your results on both sides versus a master...

The master won both sidesCry after more than 52 moves each without moving the pawns.

White can never win.

Curiously, there is a possibility of Black winning (but whether he will or not requires ellaborate calculations) with the following strategy:

By relinquishing the queenside pawns, he must bring his king to the kingside.
If white tries to gobble up black's pawns, black rook takes the KBP and queens - before white can queen any - and the white king alone cannot prevent it.
If he keeps defending the KBP and depends on checks, he runs out of checks when black king comes kingside. And yes, black can bring his king to g7 or g8, then quickly manoever his rook to g2 then g5 to exchange rooks, then his king can get the opposition to make the pawn queen.

However, I cannot say for certain, as I do not think I am upto the task at making the complete series of calculations.
