Win in a lost endgame

Sort:

Hi guys , recently I've tried to get better at endgames . Here I know I have a lost position but I decide to fight till the end . I think both of us played ok but  suggestions are welcome . Would you have resigned in the beginning position ?

Your opponent mucked up an easy win.  After 26...Rxb2, notice your king is almost in a mating net. So 27.Rc1 is very strong. What are your options?

27...Kf8 28.Nxh7+ and you lose another pawn (or two after 29.Rc7).

27...Rf2 28.Rc8+ Rf8 29.Rxf8 Kxf8 30.Nxh7+ and you trade rooks and lose a pawn.

27...g6 28.h6 and now you're in even deeper water.

You had a chance and  you used it well, i think your apponent was in a winning position before carelessy lossing the night. Maybe your confidence scared him.
