This forum is not made for asking recommendations about club he is offering a great chance for everyone here who wantsembership a complete Gentleman deed I have never ever seen any one distributing memberships like that you should respect his deed its so exceptional in chess com

BaronVonChickenpants

Well fair enough. Essentially paying someone to send 30 invites a day does appear spammy to me, but I'll leave it there

GMMK himself already admitted that you misrepresented his position.

I don't really see how since the only content in the initial request was to use all the clubs daily invites in exchange for a paid membership.

If there is more to the membership selection process then that's better but based on the content in the initial post there was nothing further to go on.

🤷‍♂️

It is no longer spam if the user has club invites off in his settings; It is the user's fault for not switching it off.

They are safe from club invites from club invite pages as long as they have it off:

That would be a more acceptable filter if it defaulted to Off and a user had to turn it on. I bet many users don't even know about that feature.

I guess we have different opinions on that, and that's ok.  I expect my invitation any minute now

Lol is this forum made to discuss chess com club policies better check them before you claim and we give evidence to you happy.png

MainframeSupertasker

Absolutely! We wanted it off by default sad.png when they create their account. Better if chess.com sent them a link to the settings to switch it on or off in the first message.

I have no idea what you are saying, but I think that's probably also ok.

I'm gonna have to go with Chickenpants on this one. The OP is saying he is soooo busy......he doesn't have time to properly run a club. Its like people who "accidentaly" lock their kids in a hot car.

+1

BaronVonChickenpants

Because of this thread OP has banned me from his club when I have never even been a member! Make of that what you will...

Typewriter44

Not surprised at all.

BaronVonChickenpants

Actually, I suppose it could have been one of the other admins. Still very odd behaviour.

Thanks for posting those settings, I can now prevent these irritating club invitations.

If I had to guess I'd say it was Stylish Bunny since that user has deleted some of their remarks to me earlier in this thread

MainframeSupertasker

@Toire Yeah! Some are really irritating. Glad you know how to now grin.png

Ronald, there's a club with currently 4110 members established on July 20 this year surprise.png slightly more than 2 months old.

BaronVonChickenpants

Why bring the bible into it? Don't recall many scriptures on chess theory.
