Guys, in colloquial English the "not true for everybody" means that while it is generally true, there are exceptions for whom it is not true.

Playing fast time controls will not help you improve. Slower time controls help you to think about your moves more, and you won't dig in bad habits.

Because when something quite obviously makes sense, it's hard not to recognize it.
Kramnik is definitely old school and would prefer if none of his charges played bullet.
But there are quite a few GMs who play blitz and bullet every day.
There are more than one way to get good at chess.
Put another way, do as they do, not as they say.
Yes, but GMs already know how to play chess well. They've quite literally mastered the game.
For most players, mastery is still a long ways away. So it's more important to learn how to play properly, in the limited amount of time that one has.
Understanding should come before speed.
It fits the normal pattern of human learning: crawl, then walk, then run.
