Play Bullet, it doesn't matter how much you lose but it will improve your longer game.

Kramnik is definitely old school and would prefer if none of his charges played bullet.

But there are quite a few GMs who play blitz and bullet every day.

There are more than one way to get good at chess.

Put another way, do as they do, not as they say.

Yes, but GMs already know how to play chess well. They've quite literally mastered the game.

For most players, mastery is still a long ways away. So it's more important to learn how to play properly, in the limited amount of time that one has.

Understanding should come before speed.

It fits the normal pattern of human learning: crawl, then walk, then run.

Not true = false, so you should just say

Yes, my statement is false for everybody

...and be spot on.

Wrong

If you aren't titled or the strength of a titled player, extensive play of bullet and blitz are generally not recommended for improvement.

I am against bullet , Its kinda addictive but it doesnt justify your progress . You will get defeated by a 600 rated sometimes because they will only kill the time but you will focus more on carefully setting up the pieces . It also lower your confidence as a good player . i find 2 min ones better but 1 min and 30 sec ones r not upto the mark .

10 second bullet

my chess thinking abilities worsen markedly when I get addicted to playing bullet even for sometime. trying to stay away from it, and playing 5 minute blitz instead

Guys, in colloquial English the "not true for everybody" means that while it is generally true, there are exceptions for whom it is not true.

Playing fast time controls will not help you improve. Slower time controls help you to think about your moves more, and you won't dig in bad habits.

Sorry you won't be convincing any one who has the sense to see you are not proposing anything, just putting others opinions down for no reason.

Are you upset with with me? My apologies if this is this case. : )

I do not mean to be rude, but your rating happens to be below 800... also, 100% of masters would say otherwise.

None of the masters would!

Because when something quite obviously makes sense, it's hard not to recognize it.
