1025: your opponent smashed a chair over his head and knocked you out

1027: You died and because life is apparently like chess, you lost the game

1029 the IRS arrests you for tax fraud when you were one move away from checkmate.

1030: you and your opponent gets into a roast battle. And you lose.

1031. You were in a position where the 50 move rule would have happened and there was no way to stop it but you decide to resign the game 49 moves after no captures or pawn moves.
