Chess with Dice

Im not sure if this exists but i had a thought about it. It could be fun and the rules could be kept simple. Something like, roll a die and if you get an even number you get to move, if you get an uneven number you dont. Your opponet does the same and repeat.

Could be a fun variant to play although there could already be another similar form of chess with better rules =)

Interesting idea. I haven't heard of any other variants like that, but I could be wrong. I'm going to have to try that next time I'm playing over the board.

Me too thaught about chess & dice, but a bit different, move according to the numbers displayed after rolling the dice, but I was confused about how to play the Knight. Also my friend (Pradeep) thought to play chess with more pieces and a big 15 raw X 15 columns board.

There's another interesting variant of chess called "can I?". When you want to play a move you show it to your opponent and you ask him if you can play it. If he denies you have to choose another move (and then your opponent can't deny it).

 LOL :P definetaly that skills your brain, you must think double time, lol yeah im trying this too..

back to the topic,

when i read to play with dice,,,  I guess something better, play like this:

 based upon the dice, you MUST MOVE

2 or 1: you must move a pawn (2 squares or 1square as the dice)

3= knight

4=bishop

5=rook

6=queen

the king must be moved only when check or when 0 pawns left

excepcionts, in example If you have a 5 and your ROOK is traped (no move is possible), then you can move 'minor points' piece :P  LOL Im just creating this rules at the moment, but can be interesting!!!

Title that game as  SIERRA DICE CHESS
