I'll call it the brwata
Create a new chess piece!
The Healer
Notation Symbol: H
Value: ???
Moves Like: King
Amount Per Player: 1
Starting Position(s): W: a3/h3; B: a6/h6 (player decides where before the game starts)
Can Pawns Promote to It?: No
Can It Attack?: Yes.
Can It Be Captured?: Yes
Appearance: A cane (not as in "a dog")
The Healer's specialty is, well, healing. Whenever a piece is captured, within the next 2 moves, the Healer can bring it back, at the expense of its own life.
For this new piece to be able to do its work, the dead piece's starting ranks (1 and 2 for White, 8 and 7 for Black) must have a clear square, because there is where it'll reappear upon revival. It's up to the player where the piece will resurface. As for the Healer, it's gone forever...
A revival is notated like so:
"H^[Piece Being Revived][Reapparition Square]".
For example: H^Ra1 (the Healer revived a Rook and placed it on a1)
Already exists: it’s the queen
Here’s mine:
Name: Archer
Ability: Can move to any square that is two squares from its position. Can hop over pieces.
Appearance: An English Longbow (15th century)
Starting square: Where the kingside knight ( g1 white, g8 black) usually is.
Continued from last comment:
Can be captured, capture, check.
Notation: A
Pawns can promote to Archer
These values are completely messed up:
First of all the King should be worth Infinity, it can be put in check and checkmate and if the king gets checkmated then the game ends,
2: theres no way the Archer and the Tiger are worth 8 points, the Archer is just a bishop that is not colourbound and the Tiger is just a rook that can move 1 square diagonally, so:
Wazir = 1 point
Ferz = 1 point
Bishop = 3 points
Rook = 5 points
Tiger = Rook (5 points) + Ferz (1 point) = 6 points
Archer = Bishop (3 points) + Wazir (1 point) = 4 points
3: the Warrior (aka Amazon) should be worth 12 points:
Warrior = Queen (9 points) + Knight (3 points) = 12 points
4: The Archbishop and the Chancellor are most likely to be worth 7 points
5: theres no way the Centaur is worth 6 points, it has nothing special and it becomes kinda weak on big boards it is most likely to be worth 5 points and on endgames the Rook does much better than the Centaur
The King is worth 20 points because that's the score a player earns when they capture the opponent's King, like in FourPlayerChess. Although the King holds immense importance in the game, its valuation at 20 points reflects the value of its capture, not its power in the game.
And here is some updates for pieces.
1) Marshal (Rook + Knight)
2) Sentinel (Bishop + Knight)
3) Warlord (King + Rook)
4) Paladin (King + Bishop)
5) General (Rook + King + Knight)
6) Chancellor (Bishop + King + Knight)
7) Valkyrie/Amazon (Queen + Knight)
8) Champion (King + Knight)
It already exists it’s the Amazon, and it’s actually worth 12 points
other than the queen
