Tall players are physiologically more suited to attacking and shorter ones to defending...
Hikaru is a very aggressive player so your comment goes right out the window

I think Fabiano Caruana wins the tallest hair award at this years grand swiss being played right now.
Anand looks pretty tall to me, he is almost as tall as Carlsen and makes Nakamura and Caruana look short. He has to be around 5'10" (178 cm).
On the other hand, Giri is a tricky one because he is of course at least average height, if not more, but he is also so skinny that he gives the illusion of being as tall as Kramnik, when he is probably around Carlsen's height.
Is that Kid n Play?
No, since Kid 'n Play are 2 people and this is a picture of 1 person.
Most of these heights listed are wrong and made up. Anand is taller than Fabi

The world's tallest grandmaster is stated to be Sebastian Siebrecht, who goes around giving chess exhibitions (I've met him). He's 202cm tall = 6' 7.5"
Benjamin Bok claims to be taller - 7' 2"
Is this so?
The shortest, most famous chess player is Magnus Carlsen, partly because he insists on wearing super yucky ugly tight, white jeans. 🤮🤢This choice accentuates his already short legs, making him appear even shorter. Consequently, even Hikaru, being one of the shortest chess players in the world, but has enough fashion sense to wear loose, long black pants, looks taller than Magnus Carlsen in his white tight pants.
I think vishy is 175cm and Hikaru 165cm
