'A pupil who does not respect his teacher is worse than a dog' (Bertolt Brecht).
HE IS RIGHT.
Nobody would ask here for respect for mother and father, since the question is already odd.
The pupil MUST FIRST assume that his teacher puts his heart into his work and likes the students. If he gives him this credit, he will then mostly respect the teachers knowledge and his efforts.
(There are few teachers who hate their work, and even their students, and they lose then respect, which is ok. Other teachers are very knowledgable, but not very communicative, or not good pedagogues, students STILL need to respect them. )
Without respect , classwork or individual work with students loses quality and even sense.
