Hi everyone!

My name is Lauren Goodkind and I am a chess teacher and chess book author based in California.

My goal is to get my initial Guinness Book of World Record-breaking scarf into a symbol of inspiration! And you can help me achieve this dream!

I recently crocheted a super long scarf, measuring about 501 feet, which  broke the initial Guinness World Record for the longest crochet scarf by an individual.

I used about 35 miles of yarn to make this 75 pound scarf!  It took me 4.5 years to create the entire scarf!

My true goal is to use this record-breaking piece as a springboard for something bigger.

As a chess teacher, my scarf's design, is black and white as its primary colors, to represent the game of chess.

I'm currently seeking a public venue to display this record-breaking scarf.

Imagine it – a powerful symbol inspiring people to:

-Embrace the challenge and joy of chess: Chess is a game that transcends age and background, promoting strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

-Yarn balls 200 and 201 are blue to represent the ocean!  Protect our oceans: The scarf's size reflects the immensity of our oceans, reminding us of their vital role in our planet's health.

-Yarn balls 236 and 237 are green to represent the earth! Take care for the Earth!

Here's more info about my scarf: https://www.chessbylauren.com/blog/501footsuperLongScarf

Do you know of a suitable location?

Perhaps a museum, a major airport, or even a public park could be the perfect place to showcase this record-breaking scarf and its message.  If you have any leads, please don't hesitate to connect with me!

Thanks in advance!

It looks very cool.

Kind of curious if a person can wear it and walk around. And was it all hand done? (You didn't use any automated AI crocheting.) Also, how you store it and how it can travel. (Does it roll up into a suitcase?)
