Morning . . .
MY TIME at SAN QUENTIN PRISON in California . . . (MEMOIR)
I go into the country jail every Friday to encourage prisoners to go straight and to trust in God. It never occurred to me that i could play chess in there. Chess is such a cross cultural game! We used to say that many prisoners are very smart people since they are always thinking up ways to con people. I say maybe not so smart since they got caught and have to pay the consequences, which would deter most wise people (wise, not smart). But there is a chess angle to it because they have a habit of conning or manipulating (something common in prison) so they must think strategically, "if i do this then the other guy is p probably going to do that so then i can do this and check! It seems to fit, so i think chess is a good match for good or bad. Yes, come to think of it, all prisoners should learn chess since it teaches there are irreversible consequences to your moves. The ones who want to change for the better will be helped to think better, the ones who want to be worse will think better too. Chess, what can i say, what a great game!

You have two options (not exclusive):
1) Post it as a blog.
2) Contact chess.com staff and ask for it to be made an article. I can't say if they will do it or not, but batgirl's success seems encouraging to me. (The quality of what you have written is easily on par with her stuff).
Good Luck!
I was a young kid at the time . . . .
