We just finished watching "A New Hope" about a minute ago. My son, eight years old, loves them all.

i think i would have yoda as the king for the rebels with queen amidala, not sure bout that spelling, lol, also there must be an obi wan included

oh, you can't make the rebels white... a jedi never attacks first.

unfortunately their are too many good guy icons for star wars chess and i had to choose between han solo or the millenium falcon , sorry han! lol    

the stormtroopers were cloned from boba fets dad so at least the fet clan made the cut, kind of...

Darth Vader should only be Queen in that it's the most powerful piece, and he was controlled by the Emperor - the King.

it seems to me that for the rebels the millenium falcon best represents being able to move all over the place, and it destroyed the death star once. luke is the king because palpatine always wants to capture/kill him. the rest are personal preference i guess. 

for the empire the death star seems appropriate since it is the target of most of the rebel scheming, with darth vador being the common choice for powerful leader(queen). the minor pieces go good with those vehicles, i think.

and where are yoda and palpatine you ask? why they are the players, palpatine is white and yoda plays black. the rebels must constantly react to imperial plans and play it defensively, until they find the moment to strike and sieze initiative(sound familiar?)

Fast AT-ATs hmmm... strange.
