Tennison Gambit Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Variation - Goodbye Scandinavian
I miss the good old innocent days when the most lethal weapon anyone would bring to the chessboard was Alekhine’s Gun. An occasional Dragon or a Frankenstein-Dracula, though the latter would be exceedingly rare.
Now even beginners have ICBMs. This has gotten out of hand!
Variation of the gambit during a live game, I call it:
Reti opening: Tennison gambit, ICBM gambit accepted, backfired variation
You see, this variation is disallowed, as the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile would put your King in check. Also, as it is a fairy piece, it is disallowed in FIDE Chess matches.
Bro what?
i beat a 2200 rated player with this
Question 1: Was it regular chess, or a variant like Chess960 or 3+ check?
Question 2: What time control?
i unironically tried this against my dad, i missed it up because i was too scared to sack my bishop, but i did trade queens and win at the end, i remember us laughing when i just slammed my queen to the other side of the board he was so confused

Not gonna work if ur opponent is >1000
A classic win
A classic win for Black: The Queen is trapped after 9...Nc6.
This was mentioned at least twice in the thread before, but some people are too dumb to read.

This is a bunch of awful moves, and white is winning in the final position.
