Hi
Analysis
but i am not half bad at chess
Your ratings tell otherwise.
The elo systems in chess are unfair. especially in chess.com. It's pretty much saying. If opponents are better than you, society shames you even when you have not gotten worse. Iike, is there actually evidence that people get worse or better when they lose

you didn't get better or worse, your elo was just to high if you lose your level might be at a lower elo, vice versa if you win
I agree. The Elo system - and having winners and losers - goes against United Nations Equality initiatives. Losers deserve the same amount of Elo or it's discrimination! Let's begin a petition.
Noemi, i would be hesitating to make such jokes because some Americans would take it seriously and start suing.

Everyone must have 2882 elo or it's unfair!

Lol
I'll try...i guess. I should be ~1100-1200 though I haven't played here in a few years so I have to get my true rating (I'll edit it as I go because my computer lags if I type too much and I lose everything)
1. e4 a6
This does nothing to the center, you should usually be moving to the center, so this move is useless. Also doesn't help in developing any pieces (Rook can't to anything on a7)
2. Nf3 b5Again, does nothing except maybe fianchettoing your bishop to b6? Either way b6 would have been better or you could play in the center with d4, e4, etc.
3. d4 e6
A little bit too passive for my liking, but fine, it does create some play in the center. I would've played d5 maybe but this is good too. Notice how your opponent owns the entire center and has a lead in development (1 knight out and 2 center pawns on e4 and d4 vs. no pieces out and 1 passive pawn on e6)
4. d5 Bb7Good move, develops a piece to catch up in development
5. c4 c6I think your opponent is trying to take the whole center, but a developing move would have been good here. Same for you - an alternative here would be 5. Nbd2 Ne7 or the more aggressive 5. Nc3 (allowing 5...b4) or 5...Nf6 (allowing 6. e5). Also, c6 completely blocks in your bishop, which isn't too good since the point of fianchettoing is to try to put pressure on the long diagonal, which can only be done when that diagonal is open. In this case, there are 3 pawns on the h1-a8 diagonal completely blocking the bishop's path.
6. Nc3 b4 7. Ne2 Nf6
Pretty good development here, but his e2 and f3 knights are a bit more active than your single f6 knight and the horrible b7 bishop. However here he has an undefended e4 pawn which he has to defend, so you should keep an eye on that if he does hang it on the next move. He still controls the full center so you need to develop some counterplay (you have a lot of space on the queenside but I don't think you could really play on that side because it's cramped).
8. dxe6 fxe6 9. e5 Ne4 10. Nd2
Pretty good play here from both sides, your knight is really powerful on e4 but still tradeable for the d2 knight. Due to move 8's exchange your position is a bit more freed up and white's center isn't too good right now. Also, the h1-a8 diagonal is open which is a lot of potential activity for your bishop. (it can be opened by c6-c5 threatening to capture on g2 if he ever moves the bishop from f1)
10...Nxf2?? 11. Kxf2 Qh4+ 12. g3 Qg5Why did you take on f2? That does nothing other than take away his casting rights, and he blocked your queen check with g3 anyway. Only do a sacrifice if you're 100% sure it's sound (and just don't sacrifice at your level, ig). Even the Fried Liver can be dubious at high levels, but it's a good example of when a knight sacrifice is possible, and it works pretty good for your level.
13. Nf3 Qf5 14. Nd4 Qe4 15. Bd3 Qxd4+?? 16. Nxd4 c5He chases your queen, and you just blunder it? Before moving to a square, look if the piece you're moving will be captured or there's a tactic that can cause damage to your position. In this case, 15...Qg4! is the only safe square for the queen. 16...c5 is a nice discovered attack on the rook, but you're down a queen so the game might as well be lost. However you should play on at your elo (100-800) because there's a high chance your opponent will blunder resulting in a win for you or draw.
(I would continue it but the person below me did it better so use that)
Here you go, I hope it will be somewhat useful to you. Best of luck with your chess.
Hey! That was mine
Jk you did a better job than me, you can take this one
To be fair, I just clicked on his diagram and didn't even see your reply before I responded. It took a while as it is a chaotic opening and this produced a complicated game.
In any case, no need to stop with your analysis.
Hey. anybody who is below 300
