The King's Indian Attack is a good opening, but Black here lost tempo in doing the fianchetto. I guess the usual move is 8. Re1 to protect that e pawn and preparing for its advance. Black didn't take advantage, you're right. 20. a4 is not good because the action is in the center... 22... Bxf3 was bad because you have a check and the Rook is saved. Good game (we learn by our mistakes)...
