Higher Accuracy, Lower Game Rating

Pretty bad game on my part - had some bad misses when I got in time trouble. But how is it possible that my game rating was 150 points lower than my opponent's when my accuracy score was 7 points higher, and I won?

Any insights as to how this works?

When I clicked and reviewed the game both players were estimated at the same 2000 rating. It might be a temporary glitch.

Based on what I know your game rating should be higher than your opponent's (if not by much). But I wouldn't read too much into it. This feature was wasn't designed to provide an accurate number that's useful for someone at your level. It's a fun gimmick for beginners.

Thanks, good insight. Really strange, though. When I click on the game review, it shows my opponent's rating at 1950 and mine at 1750!

Perhaps you can tweak the numbers and see if it makes a difference. In my game review both players received 2000 ratings again.
