I think RXG8 is mate because the knights are protected by bishops and yes, the queen can block it but yeah, I could not care less.

can we stop this nonsence?

.
There is only one mate-in-one, but several more mate-in-twos (Rxg8 is a mate-in-two), even more mate-in-threes and so on. There are also several illegal moves in the position as well, two of which are regularly brought up by new participants.
.
We don't get bonus points for finding other mates, since the goal of the original post is to find the only mate-in-one in the position.
since queen cant leave diagonal, and bishops attacks can be intercepted with enemy queen.. (also rook attack)
queen has to attack without leaving the diagonal, which means Qb3+ should also be mate. enemy bishop is also pinned to the king, cant capture attacking queen
Qb7# or Qc7#
or Qb3#
there are just so many ways!!!!!
THE QUEEN IS PINNED BY THE BISHOP
Ha....this is funny. I've made two wrong conclusions. First time, I missed seeing that the Q was pinned by the Bishop. The second time, I just did not notice that the Black Queen could block the Rook's check by moving to D8. Everyone is talking about QB3, but they ignore the fact that Black would just kill the Queen with the Black Bishop.
NC6 looks good for a M1....but, I've gotten it wrong twice.
The black bishop is pinned as well
