#1 biggest mistake - you gave up material! you hung pieces/pawns. on move 17 take with the bishop on c6 first, THEN sink the knight on e5.

you let his knight hang out in the middle. You should have gotten rid of it with your bishop.

i'm definately not an expert, but you sacrificed too many peices to get in a position that did not utilize that many pieces. and left your king for attack by opening the kings side pawn.

don't play 1.e3 i think black gets an easy game with 1...f5.  If you want a stonewall for white play 1.d4    2.e3     3.f4

At the oppening you play 4 pawns(e3 and d4 was ok). Bb5 was ok in this case. take the Knight with your Bishop and after that take your knight to e5(good position). you moved the queen to fast to d3(no relevant move) and leave your knight and bishop behind(you better develop this pieces first when you can). To avoid the checkmate you would have to exchange the queens and you already had a fairly good game(you were pretty even in number of pieces).

You wasted a tempo moving the light-squared bishop to d3 and then b5 when you should have continued developing. Also, all of those queen moves wasted even more tempi. Just stick to basic principles--develop your pieces and don't sacrifice material unless you've worked out a clear combination.

Personally, I think you'd be better off sticking to regular e4, d4 or c4 openings. (Then again, you did transpose into a Stonewall.)

Take care.

My advice would be to play like an accountant and keep the exchanges equal.  Then develop pieces and put them on good squares.  Wait for an opportunity and never give one!

2 blunders: you gave up your knight on move 17 and allowed checkmate on move 20.
I noticed a small mistake on move 10, so here’s a tip: when a series of captures and taxes will happen in the same square, capture with your lowest value piece
