What was wrong with 7...Ne7? It would have saved your piece. Also, never trade off when you are down. All you do is make each of your opponents pieces stronger with every trade.
4...Bb4+ is not standard. Book is 4...Be7 or 4...d5. After 5.c3, best to retreat and play 5...Be7 so as not to drop a pawn. 9...bxc6 isn't good. Best is 9...Nf4. Now White is up a piece. 15.c5 looks even stronger for White.
Hi all. I chose the following game because it's the most interesting one I've played so far. Let me know what you think; is it:
a) an intriguing tactical battle with attacking threats on both sides, eventually decided by one false move;
b) an example of how not to play chess, decided by who made the fewest glaring howlers; or
c) somewhere in between?
