yes because if bishop takes Queen f8 backrank checkmate, and if rook takes, you take back with your rook, and when bishop takes its the same Queen f8 checkmate
Post your brilliant moves here(it can be great move)
The king moves away because it's in check and then we take the other rook. And then the pawn takes the rook that is uncastled and we take back with the rook. A very active move
Yes. That's why I did that move. But it seems way too obvious (indeed, my opponent did not fall for it) to be brilliant. I did win it pretty easily though. That guy was another scholar's mate clown who had no idea what to do when encountering someone who knows how to counter it.
Another should be great ig
It shouldn't be one. It should be like a great move. It's not hard to back rank
but yes it's a major piece sacrifice

Where's the brilliant move
I put it into Wintrchess. It was move 26, pictured below (captured pawn)
A brilliant move in my match where I beat the Ben Finegold Bot (I punished his scholar's mate trick) and made the bot instantly regret trying to go for a quick win. In fact, you can win easily as black if you use the strategy I did. It makes beating the bot much more realistic for normal players.
By the way, the bot comments something if you make a brilliant move. It is the only comment that doesn't include trash talk sadly (I wish chess.com didn't include Ben Finegold trash talk when they designed the bot, but at the very least, when you beat it, he regrets everything and says that he better tell Chess.com to remove his bot. That's something I liked to hear when I beat the bot for the first time): https://www.chess.com/game/computer/181637333
Hope this helps if you're also trying to beat the bot! ^-^
When will Silksong come...
The brilliant move was when the queen protected herself by moving the pawn to block the bishop's attack, I then put my knight on a square it can be captured (on move 8, e4), but if it is captured (which the bot didn't capture since it is a bot) then you can checkmate in a cool way. Referring to an ancient phrase saying: "Those who use the scholar's checkmate will die by the scholar's checkmate".

If king takes bishop. Qh4+ they have one legal move it's Kg7 and Qh8#
Is this really a brilliant move?
