So, so exactly should you use game review and analysis after playing a chess game?
"Game review": you can look at it, count the number of "brilliant moves" you got and be happy about them. Pretty useless, but that is the only thing Game review is good for.
"Analysis" is actually a useful tool. Go through the moves and keep an eye on the evaluation. When the number swings into one direction or another, try to figure out what happened. Someone made a big mistake, that's for sure. Did the opponent exploit it, or did he miss it too? Try to spot the mistake and understand it and learn from it.
An even more useful (but time-consuming) method is to go through the game without the engine and try to spot the blunders by yourself. Then use the engine to check what did you miss.
