Sample game of Blackmar-Diemer Gambit

GM Bogoljubov defeated  Diemer who completed  Blackmar-Diemer Gambit with that gambit.

Speaking of Blackmar-Diemer Gambit,

Armand Edward Blackmar made Blackmar Gambit in the late 19th century

and German master, Emil Joseph Diemer (1908-1990) completed it adding some moves.

Blackmar Gambit : 1. d4 d5 2. e4 dxe4 3. f3

Blackmar-Diemer Gambit : 1. d4 d5 2. e4 dxe4 3. Nc3  Nf6  4.f3

This all well known history to BDG fans, but what's this got to do with my game?

Also, Efim Bogoljubov (Bogoljubow, Bogolyubov), twice a World Champion
contender, was a much stronger player than Diemer and beat him numerous
times.

I'm so sorry. Would you please forgive my rudeness?

I instantly forgot you are the host of this posting because I meet the exciting BDG here.

I'll delete my posting.  So sorry!!!

Nice win, but I'm not sure your choice of opening had much to do with it!  It was your tactical alertness in the middlegame that paid dividends.

I didn't mean to insinuate that you were being rude. Please accept my appology. I liked your post, I just wish you could have tied it to my game a bit better.Smile

The openiing is the opening. Without it, there can be no middlegame leading to the nice ending. What I'm trying to say is... When Kasparov wins against anyone, it is reported that he won his game in such and such an opening. Not just he won his game of chess. Of course everyone wants to copy the opening that Garry is playing and not the one I am playing. But almost always games are reported this way. That is why I choose to title this post A Nice Win with the BDG Wink
