Feel like quitting chess after this game.

I have been playing chess seriously for the first time this year and have made minimal progress and staying at roughly the same elo throughout the year. I am below 1200 (which I have heard is not even beginner level) so it must be pretty bad. I played this game today and it has stripped me of any confidence I have ever had at reaching a rating of even 1400 in my lifetime.

My opponent broke all chess principles in the opening and the eval bar shows I was dominating the entire game, but I just cannot convert even if my opponent blunders all of their pieces. After he threw away his knight, I focused on avoiding any mating attacks while developing pieces. I traded down when possible and yet this was not enough to secure a win. I had to draw because I was too low on time after 50 moves. I am not sure how to improve much more as I analyze every single one of my games and have played thousands of puzzles this year. My main problem is that I make the occasional dumb blunder, but I have no idea how to stop doing that. This game I was very careful not to blunder and took my time, but I still draw. I am not sure how this guy could play so well at this rating while down in material and still be up in time.

same problem here just 1 answer Chess.com doesnt want to hear out loud in their forums (their anti cheat systems fail horribly)
people have an engine on the side on their telephone or tablet some other device they dont need time to think online games with the invention of AI
reporting doesnt do much either too many games for chess.com to evaluate with the # people they have so recreational players that dont cheat gg (your almost forced to do the same to have a chance to win)
(is getting outplayed by whoever cheats the best)
yes it may sound like kramnik just facts

Stop blaming your losses on imaginary cheaters.

Sorry OP, but you weren't being careful enough when converting. Look out for potential pins and forks, review the game, and keep playing. You'll get better, but it takes more than a few days or weeks to do it.
