i more interesting in why white lost here rather than how well black did. Perhaps Qb3 was a mistake? When I play English, If I manage to trade my c pawn for blacks D-pawn, I opt to focus on the kingside. A break through only works on the queenside if things are closed off elsewhere. Nc5 won more tempo on the queen later too. I also think white shouldn't have traded his light bishop so readily. By move fifteen white has heat lined up on queenside, and black has heat lined up kingside. Defeat seemed inevitable. White also has little control over the center at that point. cool game, major props to dutchdefense for his neat trap.
