Magnus Carlsen vs Loek Van Wely
I had a quick look at the blog and it is interesting to hear about the life of a pro chess player. I am a fan of Magnus, but I prefer to just follow the results and games and to see how he develops. I hope he achieves his potential and becomes world champion, but I also like some of the other players like Anand and Aronion.
In this match, I think Loek Van Wely deserves much credit for playing a great game and achieving a winning position. He must have been gutted after those late mistakes, but Magnus took his opportunely well.
I enjoyed this game between Magnus Carlsen and Loek Van Wely that occurred at the corus 2008 tournament. I have included GM Mihail Marin's commentary about the game. As you will see, Loek plays very well until he makes a couple of errors near the end that costs him victory and the match.
