Here's my loss against the "stupid e5 pawn push" in the Scandi. Despite the tragic outcome, it was a lot of fun and really confusing.

I too was surprised when I looked over it. It's a... not exactly common theme, but it happens often. I just wasn't paying attention.

5...Bb7 seems like it just loses the e pawn, for example after Bd4 just play Nf3 and everything is secure

Yeah, black loses a pawn in either line. It seems the best move might have been to simply unpin the knight with 5...Rb8. But even then white has 6.Nxe5 Nxe5 7.d4. In that line, though, black could get the pawn back with 6...Bxf2+! and after 7.Kxf2 Nxe5. That position is probably still better for white.

it was very satisfying to do the windmill haha, he had no choice but to go left and right and i collected his everyrhing.. i could have taken more but got bored and checkmated

I'm unofficially retired (haven't played classical in more than 10 years, ). Even then I played sporadically. Last rating I remember was just below 2000
